Use What’s In Your Hand

Have you ever caught yourself saying:

“When I have more, then I’ll…”

When I have more money, I’ll give.

When I have more time, I’ll serve.

When I have more confidence, I’ll start.

When I know more, I’ll step out.

When everything settles down, I’ll finally do what God has put on my heart.

There’s just one tiny problem…

Life apparently did not receive the memo that it was supposed to settle down. 😂☕

There will almost always be a reason to wait.

But throughout Scripture, God repeatedly used people who simply gave Him what they already had.

📖 “And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand?”

— Exodus 4:2 KJV

Moses had a rod.

David had a sling and some stones.

A little boy had five loaves and two fishes.

None of it looked particularly impressive.

Until it was placed in God’s hands.

Maybe you’ve been looking at somebody else’s gifts and thinking you don’t have enough.

You don’t have their platform.

Their resources.

Their experience.

Their connections.

Their talent.

Their confidence.

But God didn’t ask you what was in their hand.

He asked:

What is in yours?

Maybe you can encourage somebody.

Maybe you can cook a meal.

Maybe you can pray.

Maybe you can make the phone call.

Maybe you can start the business.

Maybe you can write the first page.

Maybe you can serve somewhere nobody notices.

Maybe you can simply be kind to the person standing in front of you.

Don’t underestimate something small just because it looks small in your hands.

Give it to God.

Let Him decide what He can do with it.

You don’t need everything you think you’re missing to obey God today.

Start with what He’s already given you.

🛠️ A skill you have

✨ Your creativity

☕ Twenty minutes to sit with somebody who needs a friend

And don’t say “nothing.”

You don’t need money, a title, a platform, or thousands of followers to make somebody’s day better.

Sometimes the thing God wants to use is something you stopped noticing because it comes naturally to you.
