Happy Saturday
💙✨ SATURDAY — STOP LOOKING BACK ✨💙
Have you ever noticed how easy it is to romanticize something after God has brought you out of it?
Suddenly we remember the good parts…
and conveniently forget why we prayed so hard for God to change things in the first place. 😂
We start wondering:
Maybe I should go back.
Maybe to the relationship.
The old habit.
The comfortable place.
The opportunity.
The version of ourselves God has been changing.
But sometimes God is saying:
“I didn’t bring you this far so you could keep living backward.”
📖 “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing…”
— Isaiah 43:18–19 KJV
There is nothing wrong with remembering where you’ve been.
Your past contains lessons.
Memories.
People you loved.
Things God taught you.
But your past was never supposed to become your permanent address.
Sometimes we keep staring at a closed chapter because we already know how that story went.
The next page?
That’s unknown.
And unknown can feel scary.
But friend…
God is already in the chapter you haven’t read yet. 💙
Maybe you’re not supposed to recreate what was.
Maybe God wants to build something new.
A new friendship.
A new opportunity.
A new dream.
A healthier boundary.
A stronger faith.
A different version of you.
And yes—new things can feel uncomfortable.
You don’t know how they’ll turn out.
You don’t know exactly where the road leads.
But remember yesterday:
You know Who you’re following.
So take the lesson.
Keep the gratitude.
Release the regret.
And turn around.
There’s a whole lot of life in front of you. 💙
