Grace For What You Don’t Know Yet

Good morning, A-Tall-Order family! ☀️☕💙

Can we admit something?

We really like answers.

Preferably clear answers.

With details.

Dates would be nice.

Maybe a little itinerary. 😂

“God, I trust You completely. Also, if You could email me the plan by 3:00, that would be wonderful.” 😆☕

But life doesn’t always work that way.

Sometimes you’re standing in a season where the most truthful answer you have is:

“I don’t know yet.”

I don’t know what’s going to happen.

I don’t know which door will open.

I don’t know how this will work out.

I don’t know when the answer will come.

I don’t know what God is doing with this.

And somewhere along the way, we started treating “I don’t know” like a failure of faith.

It isn’t.

📖 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally…”

— James 1:5 KJV

God never expected us to know everything.

That’s why He tells us to ask for wisdom.

Wisdom isn’t knowing the entire road before you start walking.

Sometimes wisdom is knowing enough to take the next step while trusting God with the steps you can’t see yet.

Maybe today you don’t need another hour of analyzing.

Maybe you don’t need to replay the conversation for the 47th time. 😂

Maybe you don’t need to Google seventeen more possibilities.

Maybe today’s wisdom sounds like:

“I don’t know yet—and I’m okay with that.”

Because not knowing yet doesn’t mean God isn’t working.

It doesn’t mean you’ve missed Him.

It doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

And it certainly doesn’t mean you need to manufacture an answer just because waiting feels uncomfortable.

There are things God may show you today.

There are things He may reveal later.

And there may be things you won’t understand until you look backward and say:

“Ohhh. THAT’S what You were doing.” 😮💙

So ask God for wisdom.

Pay attention.

Seek wise counsel when you need it.

Do what you know is right.

And then give yourself permission not to know what God hasn’t shown you yet.

You don’t need all the answers to take the next faithful step. There is grace for the unanswered question too. 💙

Okay, A-Tall-Order family, today we’re taking some pressure off ourselves. 😆💙

Here’s our Wisdom Wednesday question:

What is something you’re learning to trust God with even though you don’t have the answer yet?

You don’t have to give us private details.

One word is plenty.

Maybe it’s:

⏳ The timing

🚪 Which door to take

💼 A career decision

❤️ A relationship

💵 Finances

🏠 A change in your life

🙏 An unanswered prayer

🌱 Your next step

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Someone you love

❓ Something that simply doesn’t make sense yet

Finish this sentence:

“I don’t know ______ yet, but I’m trusting God with it.”

Then find somebody else’s answer and leave them a ❤️ or 🙏.

No predictions.

No telling them what God is definitely going to do.

No trying to solve their situation.

Just encouragement.

Sometimes one of the most comforting things another believer can say is:

“I don’t know either—but I’ll pray with you while you wait for wisdom.” 💙

And here’s today’s challenge:

DON’T FORCE AN ANSWER.

Ask for wisdom.

Do what you know to do.

Take the next faithful step.

Then let God handle what you don’t know yet.

One day.

One step.

Enough wisdom for today.

Fresh grace for the unknown. 💙
