Faithful Friday- Grace For Today

YOU DON’T HAVE TO FINISH EVERYTHING TODAY

Good morning, A-Tall-Order family! ☀️☕💙

We made it to Friday! And somewhere right now, somebody is staring at a to-do list thinking:

“Okay. If I don’t blink, eat lunch, answer my phone, or sit down for the next nine hours, I might get all of this done.” 😂

Put the superhero cape down for a minute. 😆☕ Friday has a sneaky way of making us feel like everything unfinished this week suddenly becomes an emergency.

The email.

The laundry.

The project.

The phone call.

The paperwork.

The thing we’ve moved from Monday’s list to Tuesday’s list…to Wednesday’s list…until eventually we just stopped writing the day beside it. 😂

But here’s something worth remembering:

Unfinished doesn’t always mean unfaithful.

📖 “It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

— Lamentations 3:22–23 KJV

God gives us new mercy every morning.

Which means He never expected us to squeeze tomorrow’s mercy into today. There are things that genuinely need your attention today. Handle them faithfully.

There may be a conversation you’ve been avoiding. Have it. There may be one final task you need to finish. Finish it. But there may also be things that simply need to wait. And that’s okay.

You are allowed to finish Friday without having finished everything.

Because faithfulness isn’t measured by how many boxes you checked.

Sometimes faithfulness looks like working hard.

Sometimes it looks like recognizing:

“I’ve done what I can for today.”

And then closing the laptop.

Putting down the phone.

Walking away from the list.

And trusting that God will still be God tomorrow morning. Don’t let what’s unfinished erase everything you did accomplish this week.

You showed up.

You learned.

You prayed.

You handled things nobody else even knew you were carrying.

You encouraged somebody.

You made mistakes and kept going.

You trusted God through questions you still don’t have answers to.

And look at that—

You made it to Friday.

So finish what belongs to today.

Release what doesn’t.

And when you’ve done what God has given you grace to do…rest. Tomorrow will have fresh mercy of its own. 💙

Okay, A-Tall-Order family, we’re NOT making another to-do list today. 😂 Instead, we’re making a DONE list. 🙌💙

Here’s today’s question:

What is ONE thing you’re thankful you made it through, accomplished, learned, or handled this week?

Maybe:

💼 You finished something at work

🙏 You kept praying even without an answer

❤️ You handled a difficult situation with more grace than before

📞 You finally made the phone call

🌱 You took one small step toward something important

🕊️ You protected your peace

😂 You laughed during a week that wasn’t particularly funny

🤝 You helped somebody

💙 You set a needed boundary

☕ You simply kept showing up

And YES—

“I made it through the week” absolutely counts. 😂🙌

Finish this sentence:

“This week, with God’s help, I ______.”

Don’t minimize it.

Don’t compare yours to somebody else’s.

If it mattered to you, it counts.

Then read through the comments and celebrate somebody with a ❤️ or 🙌.

And here’s our Friday challenge:

LEAVE ONE THING FOR TOMORROW WITHOUT FEELING GUILTY ABOUT IT.

I know.

Some of you just clutched your planners. 😂

But seriously—

Do what belongs to today.

Then let today be enough.

One day.

One faithful step.

Fresh mercy.

Enough grace.

And after carrying us through this entire Grace for This Day week, maybe the sweetest Friday reminder is simply:

**God gave you grace for today.

And He’ll still have some tomorrow.** 💙
